Cading It.. Oh, sorry. Faking It Blog Tour -> Character Interview: Cade (Plus embarrasing internal monologue.)

Guys! I’m so, so honored and excited about this post I can’t even… Visiting us today is Cade from Cora Carmack’s Faking It. If you’ve read it already (and if you didn’t, get ON with it) you might agree with me that it needs to be renamed Cading It. In fact, I’m starting a campaign. I even made a prospect cover for future editions.

Even Darren Criss agrees with me…

Well, now the part you’ve all been waiting to read… I might have gotten a little too excited. And possibly a tad obsessed with Darren Criss. I regret nothing.

So, Cade… What’s your story? (I know I’m gazing adoringly at him, but he’s gotta be used to that by now, doesn’t he? It’s not creepy when you consider how long I’ve been following his every move, it’s like we know each other forever... Wait. No, it’s ok. There’s no way he knows I know everything there’s to know about him.)

My story? It's nothing special. Oh? I  have to tell my story? Well... In that case, I'm just a guy who lost a girl only to find a better one.

I have to say, I’m such a fan! Some people might go for the blond, hot and British bad-boyish type, but not me.  I mean, sure... Said people might give it up for the hot professor and all, (OMG what am I saying?! *Insert JLaw face*) but good guys are totally underrated, no?

We are an underrated group, yes. But I think what people don't realize is that despite being "nice" guys, we're still GUYS. And no guy is nice all the time. We still know how to have fun, and nice doesn't have to translate to boring.

(All right, immediately this picture of Cade comes to mind. Leather! Black leather! Jeans! White T.Shirt! Too many exclamation points! Enough said.)

Tell us about a time when things didn't go the way you wanted, like say, a role you wanted and didn't get, or a relationship that didn’t work out. (He can’t possibly now I know about Bliss. Ugh. Just remembering makes me want to ready my bow and arrows in 3, 2… What? I’m a Katniss.)

God, there have been too many of those. Parts lost, relationships that have crashed and burned, people that disappoint you.

But the good news is... Things are looking up. WAY up.

What is the quality you most like in a woman? *Fumbles with hidden tape-recorder* (Come on, now is NOT the time to have a tech emergency. What if the reason we don’t work out in the future is because I was too busy trying to make the stupid secret microphone to work instead of listening? I’m gonna need a transcript. What are we gonna tell our future children?)

God, I've been a bit all over the place with the women I like. There are plenty of things I'm attracted to, but what I love most is a girl with passion. Max has that in spades. I was attracted to her first because of how she looked, but when I saw her sing... That was the end for me. There was no coming back.

Tell me about Max… (If she wasn’t literally the coolest chic I know, I would totally hate her. I mean, I’m tempted even now. But she’s a singer so we’re cool. For now.)

Well... I guess I got a bit of a head start on this question. What can I say? She's on my mind a lot.

Besides her passion, I love Max's mouth. Not in that way, well, yes in that way too, but I love that she's not afraid to say what she thinks. She doesn't hold back. So, uh, yeah... I find her mouth incredibly sexy.

*Clears throat* Who is your role model and why? (God, I sound totally professional. I gotta remember to thank Jaz for these flashcards…)

My role model? Well, there are plenty of actors I look up to, but there's one person in my life that I would be proud to reach even half her generosity and kindness. That's my Grams. She took me in as her own. She raised me despite being well past parenting age. And she was the coolest grandma ever. I owe her everything.

(What do you say? No, that wasn’t a tear. I’ve something in my eyes. Like a cat or something. You know the drill. This is a Cora Carmack interview, people. Get with the program.)

What’s your spirit animal? (Scratch that. I’m gonna kill Jaz. Slowly. Talk about an Anastasia Steele moment... *face-palm*)

My spirit animal?

Whiskey? Can whiskey be my answer? Or Morgan Freeman's voice? Chuck Norris's beard?

Nah... I'm kidding. I'll be serious now.
My spirit animal is...

Nope. It's still whiskey.

 (*Dies* Seriously, I’m dead.)

Umm… Where do you see yourself in five years? (Seriously, what counselor’s office did that girl raid for these things?)

That's a hard question to answer. Acting obviously. But a lot of it doesn't depend just on me. Don't tell Max (because she'll say I'm stupid for planning my life around her, but she's wrong), but whatever I do, I just want her with me. I've learned the hard way that accomplishments alone can't make you happy.

Thank you so much for stopping by, Cade! (A man CAN’T be this hot. Look at him. I might need electroshock therapy or something for my brain to start working again…)

You're very welcome! Thanks for having me.

So, if you feel like chatting or whatever, do you want my skype username or even e-mail so we… Cade? (Where did he go?)
